I recently updated my AWStats Xtended Info WordPress plugin, which I had honestly never intended on doing. As such, it seemed a better idea to have a static page for my creations rather than a moving target for a url each time I post a update.

New to the Creations page is GöSPress, a spell checker built on Googie Spell. Personally, I don’t use the Visual Editor, and the lack of cohesive spell checking in the basic editor drives me out of my mind. As a freebie, you can even set the plugin to spell check Comments… I’ve only tested it in WordPress 2.1, so if you’re using another version and would like to shoot me a note about the compatability (or lack thereof) I’d appreciate it.

So here it is, my meager contribution to the blogging community. Perhaps, having this vast expanse of emptiness, I might be motivated to create something else. We’ll see…

WordPress Plug-ins

AWStats Xtended Info
version 2.1b r005 | updated 05 APR 2007

AWStats Xtended Info inserts the awstats_misc_tracker.js into each page WordPress serves, allowing you to track additional items including screen size, Flash, PDF, and Java support among other things.
For finer control you can select which types of pages will include the script from the AWStats X Options page.

GöSPress
version 2.1a r001 | updated 01 MAY 2007

GöSPress is a spellcheck plug-in for WordPress built around Googie Spell developed by Amir Salihefendic.
GöSPress delivers spellcheck to those who prefer not to use the Visual Editor, along with the ability to allow spell check for reader commenting, the selection of available language dictionaries, and limited ability to customize the appearance.
